Swagger for amplified Bassoon and Digital Audio was written for and premiered by Bassoonist Gabriel Beavers in 2015.  The commission was for a piece that would change the typical role of the bassoon to one that dominated the musical texture without sacrificing the bassoon’s own tone qualities (without turning it into a device that controlled other sounds).
