The Digital Sound portion is an easily triggered sound source. In the percussion score there are large circled notes with numbers inside. These signify when the MIDI Pad should be triggered. The electronic sounds are samples loaded into Ableton Live that are triggered by a MIDI Pad/Controller. Only one MIDI channel is needed. If the control surface has more than one pad, all pads can be programmed to MIDI channel 1, thus making it easier for the performer to quickly hit the pad. When the pad or key is tapped, the sample will play and will automatically move to the next sample. The force of hitting the pad does not affect the amplitude of the sample.
